Various announcements about this course will be posted on this page - this is the page to check for important and changing information.

• Our guest lecturer will not be able to come to class this week, so there will be NO class Saturday, September 25, 2004 (i.e. class this week is CANCELLED).  Do the reading for both this week and next week - email me if you have any questions.

• The names of all the books are now on the Papers and Exams tab, so you can try to get them from other book stores.  The books will also be in the URI bookstore in Providence shortly.  You should consider getting Wood's book from a book store, Amazon, etc. rather than waiting for the URI bookstore to get it in, so that you can do the weekly reading.  We will not be changing the first week's reading assignment, but we will discuss at the next class how you should go about reading historical texts, documents, secondary sources, etc.
